To watch videos on thegnomonworkshop.com you must be connected to the Internet. Our player will adjust the quality of video to its assessment of your internet speed. If the player determines that you have a slower speed, it will not stream high definition quality video to you, even if the video is available in HD.

On the 4th day, your credit card will be charged for the subscription plan you selected.
If you no longer need your subscription, it’s easy to cancel it. Cancelling stops the recurring payments, but the subscription remains active until it reaches its expiry date. For example, if you purchase a monthly subscription and then choose to cancel it after 15 days, the subscription will remain active until the end of the month period. It’s important that you cancel your subscription at least three days before the renewal date, to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle. You can cancel your subscription anytime by editing your “SUBSCRIPTION” in the Account Settings.

No. The Gnomon Workshop library streams content via the library’s integrated player.
Our tutorials are streamed at the optimal speed for your internet connection, however, broadband does provide the best viewing.
To add a Playlist, click New Playlist. Add the Playlist information and then click Create Playlist at the bottom of the page. Your Playlists will be private to you.
Project Files are often provided to help you practice a lesson or to deconstruct an instructor's workflow. When available, Project Files can be downloaded as an archive (.zip) from the Tutorial Page. To download, click the Download Project Files link.
These project files can be used in your personal work as long as credit is given to the Gnomon Workshop, however our project files cannot be used in commercial work.
Yes, click on the "Dashboard" tab under your name on the upper right hand corner and you can see your viewing history there.
We do not offer certificates for tutorial completion.
For individual customers, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club. We do not accept PayPal, checks or wire transfers for the payment of individual accounts.
Our transaction provider Stripe, employs the latest secure server technology to ensure this information is protected to the highest standards. Encryption is used to safeguard your credit card information and only orders from web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology are accepted - this means you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection. Most web browsers above version three support this security. This encryption makes it virtually impossible for unauthorised parties to read any information that you send us. All orders are then processed by Stripe on computers that are not connected to the Internet.
The Gnomon Workshop never sells or shares any customer information with any other company. Your e-mail address is required to send order confirmation information, or to alert you if there were any problems with an order.
For single user licenses, it is best to subscribe online. For studios or academic institutions interested in multi-user subscriptions, The Gnomon Workshop is available to answer questions or process Purchase Orders via our Contact Form
Yes! Whether you’re looking to gift 1 month of The Gnomon Workshop, or would like to gift 3, 6, or 12 months, we’ve got you covered. If you have a promotional coupon code you want to use, you can add it on the checkout page. Having problems applying a coupon? Here are some common reasons as to why a code might appear invalid:

  • Something is wrong with the actual code (codes are case sensitive)
  • The deal might have expired as most deals are time sensitive
  • The deal is a welcome discount only for your first order
  • You are trying to combine promotional offers on our website
Try clicking inside of the coupon code box, select all, and press delete. Sometimes a space can accidentally be input in the coupon code box and by selecting all and pressing delete this will ensure that all values have been deleted. You can change your subscription plan by editing your “SUBSCRIPTION” in the Account Settings.
No. Our system is tied to one user per email and credit card. If you share your email address your account could be terminated. Please adhere to our Terms and Conditions and understand that purchased items are for personal use only. We have tried to make The Gnomon Workshop a valuable and affordable resource to all, so your cooperation and support are necessary for this resource to grow. Instructors will only be able to justify the time and expense of producing tutorials if they feel that their compensation is fair. Piracy and illegal sharing is anything but fair to our instructors. TEAM LICENSES
A Team License is suitable for any team of 2 or more artists working for a company or attending an educational institution. It can be scaled up to accommodate hundreds and even thousands of artists with multiple groups, teams, or departments. Contact us for a quote.
Our Team License has been designed specifically to meet the needs of artists working for studios and enrolled in schools, colleges, and universities where immediate access to training is crucial to the success of artists’ skills development.

Each Team License comes with a unique subdomain (e.g. yourcompanyname.thegnomonworkshop.com) and your Team Administrator will have full control over the users, including inviting, assigning, and revoking user access, usage tracking, as well as creating and managing playlists.

Each registered user under the Team License will be given their own unique login, giving them 24/7 access to our video training library, wherever they are in the world, and whatever time of day they wish to brush up on their skills. The Administrator Dashboard also allows the ability to purchase additional “seats” for users as well as run reports.

A Team License is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. If purchasing by credit card, your Team License will auto-renew at the end of each year. You can cancel your Team License at any time, which will stop the auto renewal, and the license will run until the end of the 1-year period already purchased. Team Licenses are not eligible for a refund and a cancelation within the 1-year period will not be eligible for a pro-rated refund.

To manage users within the Team License, the Administrator Dashboard allows you to invite users via email address; once a user accepts their email invitation, the Team Administrator will be able to assign their license “seat,” which will be active immediately upon assignment. The Administrator can also easily revoke access, and monitor what users are watching, as well we create and assign Teams for users to belong to.

The Administrator Dashboard also allows the ability to purchase additional license “seats” for users. Any additional seats that you purchase will be prorated to ensure that all the users under your Team License have access until the original expiry date.

Our Administrator Dashboard has been designed to make user management as efficient as possible. The Administrator Dashboard allows you to quickly and easily invite users via email address; once a user accepts their email invitation, the Team Administrator will be able to assign their license “seat,” which will be active immediately upon assignment. The Administrator can also easily revoke access, and monitor what users are watching, as well we create and assign Teams for users to belong to. You can choose to task specific Users to act as Team Administrators for Teams. Under Role, select Team Administrator and check the boxes of the Teams that you would like to assign them to. If you are inviting many users to your Team License, you can upload a .csv file to invite users in bulk.
In the Administrator Dashboard, you can create Teams (or groups) for your users to belong to. Some clients choose to organize by user specialty or department, depending on the company and how it’s structured. Teams can be viewed and managed from a dropdown in your account dashboard. It’s quick and easy to add a new Team and to assign and move users between your created teams.

A Team Administrator can assign and revoke license seats within the Team, add and remove Users within the Team, create playlists for the Team members and rename the Team.
Team Administrator cannot edit usernames or passwords; cannot delete User accounts; cannot invite new Users; cannot create new Teams or buy additional license seats and cannot access invoicing or billing details.
Team Administrators can create Playlists for the Teams that they oversee. They can select to enable access for specific Teams.
To access Usage History module just click on USAGE HISTORY from the account drop down menu.
You can view every user of your account and all their history, you can select multiple users, single user and view all their activity history.

Yes, you can log in from any internet-connected computer. However, you can only be logged in to one computer at a time.

Every 4 months we create new challenge. Winners receive up to 1 Year Gnomon Workshop Subscription.
The winners are chosen based on our judges' personal criteria, however we often award prizes to artists whose CONCEPTS or IDEAS are excellent, regardless of technical execution. While first place awards tend to bias to a combination of concept AND technical merit, we often choose winners who show POTENTIAL. We love to see new artists emerge, and this is a good way to give artists exposure while rewarding them for their talents.
